Karan Johar, the ace filmmaker who became the proud father of twins-Roohi and Yash-at Masrani hospital in Andheri, will have to wait two more weeks to take the kids home as doctors are keeping a close watch on them due to their being born prematurely on February 7. Insiders reveal that the kids were shifted to Surya Mother & Child Hospital in Santa Cruz (west) after their birth. “They are in NICU and likely to be there for a couple of weeks or more.”
In fact, Karan Johar’s dream of becoming a proud father faced difficulties when the surrogate mother delivered the kids prematurely on February 7. The kids weighed 1.5 kg at the time of their birth.
Earlier, Karan Johar had expressed his eternal gratitude to the surrogate mother for fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a father. Karan Johar said:
“I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science. Eternally grateful to the surrogate mother.”
Karan Johar even expressed his gratitude to doctor Jatin Shah, saying:
“A big thank you to Dr Jatin Shah for his guidance and support and for being like a family member through this wonderful and exciting journey.“
It may be recalled that Karan Johar is not the first person to have kids through surrogacy and even Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Tusshar Kapoor, etc., had adopted this method to fulfill their dreams.
